REGINALD JOHNSON
In the Unity Community Center, Camden, New Jersey, Kory was one of our best Karate students in Universal Pasha Karate School, Drummer and Acrobat in our Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble, he was a member of the World Champion UPK Pasha Generals Drill Team, he played trombone in our UCC Music Ensemble and our baby mascot and member of The Deans Step Team since he was a little boy to the age of 14. Kory was raised Muslim and when his parents moved to Glassboro, New Jersey we lost one of our best students for the last 4 years. Later we learned that Kory was getting into trouble, and being with the wrong crowd. Unfortunately on Sunday, August 1, 2010 he was shot in the chest in Camden at 12:30 pm and later died in the hospital. During the funeral we were all hurt to see an 18 year old young man that we loved die so young. It also hurt us to see his parents and family hurt, cry and have to bury their love one. No civilize or righteous parent wants to see their children die before them. I thank our black belt NISEEAH BRANCH for taking time to put this YouTube clipping of the life of Kory in our Community Center and Karate School. I also thank one of our Master Black Belts, ANWAR SABREE for representing the discipline and our Karate School at Kory's JANAZAH (Funeral). I also pray that all parents, grandparents and guardians understand the value of our methodology of programs at the Unity Community Center and encourage their children and keep their children in our center. Never let them quit, because you would have developed a quitter in life. Allow us to help you develop your children. We are highly skilled teachers and mentors for youth at-risk. Encourage them, direct them, support them, and sacrifice for your children. Remember CHILDREN the FUTURE. Thank you
